Centaurs are monsters that have the appearance of a human-horse hybrid. Their lower body resembles that of a horses' from the base of the neck to the hooves, and a human torso above the base of the horse-neck. They are another common monster in mythological canons. In some contemporary (online art cultures) art, the "-taur" concept is used to depict human/animal monsters with a non-equestrian lower body. Some specific animal combinations have specific names ("Drider").
