Spirit Halloween had a tepid spider-showing this year.

This jumping spider is apparently a well-known animatronic that Spirit sells every year. In previous years, it was absent from Spirits I visited... Presumably, because it was so sought after that none remained. When activated, the big fluffy beast lunges towards you with glowing eyes. It's really cute. Really cute. I love the shaggy fur. Its eyes are so cute and beady... I would like to catch it and hug it if it jumped out at me.

There was actually a pretty big display for the jumping spider! I really like it, but passed on it this year, since I was buying other decorations. Hopefully, we will meet again.

This skull spider was difficult to parse from the store shelf's black background, with legs jutting out in every direction. It's the type with hard plastic jointed legs, covered in some interesting looking texture that I can't identify. It has furry tufts on each leg, and a very strange skull that resembles a ribcage. It seems to be an object with more of a "skeleton" motif than an attempt at accurately depicting a skull. Not a huge fan... Sorry....
There were also goodiebag-stuffer-spiders in the checkout aisle. It warms the heart to see such a large quantity of spiders in one place.

The fanciful multicolored spiders are cute, and there seemed to be a pretty good variety. I love a classic spider ring. If only they made them big enough for adult fingers.
